Odwa, Your Guide

Odwa Futshane is a resident of Langa and is a credited SATA Tour Guide. He has been leading tours in Langa for many years. Odwa speaks English perfectly with no accent, so is easy to understand. He grew up in Langa and will introduce you to the people and their customs.

He is body builder and works out in the local Langa gym.You are in good hands..

What do we visit?

Our Langa Walking tour goes all around Langa on foot. A safe experience where you meet the people face to face, play with the children and visit personal homes.

We will customise your tour as we walk, in accordance with your interests and preferences. Would you like to play soccer with the children, we can arrange. Or visit an orphange. No problem. As we walk, your preferences will guide our tour.

A short video giving a feel of our wonderful tours. This video will give you some idea of the experience, what it is like exploring Langa on foot and how you will be able to meet the people and play with the children.

1st option is a Taxi tour

You will have an opportunity to travel with the local residents in the local taxi as you travel to Langa. You can interact ask questions and please don't be shy. You will learn the local language Isixhosa. From Langa the walking tour starts and we finish with a taxi drive back to Cape Town. If you want adventure and an intimate experience this is for you. We meet at the entrance of the Castle of Good Hope opposite Grand Parade. The tour takes about 3 1/2 hours, but can be made shorter on request.

2nd option is a Self Drive to Langa

Here directions will be provided with GPS and safe parking. We have security and car guards. The walking tour is approximately 2 1/2 hours. You will be met at the visitors centre in Langa and the walking tour starts and finished at your car.

In this option you will be picked up and dropped back to place of choice within the city.
The Tour takes 3 1/2 hours.
